Yes, we allow you to bring in whatever vendors you like. The only requirements we have are that caterers must be licensed and insured and if you are serving alcohol, you must have a licensed bartender. If the bartender does not carry alcohol liability insurance, you must purchase it prior to the event. It typically costs approximately $150-$225. You can purchase at www.wedsure.com, www.theeventhelper.com, or through your insurance agent.
You do not have to serve alcohol at your event. We do a large number of dry events every year. However, all alcohol must be served by a licensed bartender (see above). We allow beer, wine and champagne. We will also allow you to have up to two signature cocktails. The parameters on the signature cocktails are that they must be pre-approved by our venue manager, mixed by the bartender ahead of the event and brought in really to pour over ice (in a decanter of some sort), based on two per person and once it is gone, more cannot be made.
No, you have 12-hour exclusive access on your event day.
Yes, we have two changing spaces. The space downstairs offers several seating options, a large screen TV, hooks for hanging items, and mirrors (usually used by the groom and his party). The upstairs changing space has 5 lighted makeup stations, full length mirror, makeup mirror, and individual AC unit, a private restroom, and a private balcony (usually used by the bride and her party).
The kitchen, restrooms, downstairs changing area, and upstairs bridal suite are all climate controlled. The reception space has sides that can be lowered if weather is a concern, and we provide patio heaters and wood for the fireplace in cooler months. In addition, we also have very large fans in the event space to help keep your guests feeling comfortable.
We will do weddings any time of the year! We do not block out any dates!
While we are only the venue piece, we work with vendors who can do everything else. So, if you are interested in a one-stop-shop, we can set you up with one of our vendors who handle everything except the venue!
No. While we do not require you to hire an off-duty officer, you may choose to do so if it makes you more comfortable.
